You earn badges for milestones like checking in at new venues or during happy hour, and challenges set goals to complete for extra points. See your badges under Account → Achievements → View All, and find challenges in the Active Challenges strip on the Feed (tap See All).

You earn points for check-ins, photos and ratings, completing challenges, and contributions — specials and events that go live, new venues that get approved, drinks menus, photos that get approved, and corrections that get applied. Your points feed your standing on the Leaderboard on the Feed tab.
