Community Guidelines

Be cool. That's basically it.

Drink$ is a community of people who love finding great drink specials and sharing good times with friends. These guidelines keep it fun for everyone. They're not legalese, just how we all agree to treat each other.

Drink responsibly

We're all here because we enjoy a good drink, so look out for yourself and your crew. Don't post content that glorifies dangerously excessive drinking, and never anything involving underage drinking or drinking and driving. Plan a safe ride home; the app even has ride options built in.

Post your own stuff

Share photos you took and moments you were part of. If your friends are in the shot, make sure they're okay with it going up. Don't post other people's photos, content you don't have rights to, or anyone's personal info.

Keep it friendly

Comments, cheers, and outing chats should feel like hanging out with friends. Disagree all you want about the best happy hour in town, but harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, or creepy behavior toward other users gets you removed. No exceptions.

Keep specials honest

The whole app runs on accurate info. When you contribute a venue or special, make sure it's real, current, and not a duplicate. Spotted something wrong? Use the Feedback / Report an Issue option on the special or venue instead of guessing. It goes straight to us to fix.

No spam or shady stuff

No spam, scams, fake accounts, or self-promotion disguised as check-ins. Venue owners: claim your venue and use the venue tools. That's what they're for, and they work way better than spamming the feed.

See something? Say something

Every check-in, profile, and photo can be reported, and you can block anyone who's ruining your vibe. Reports go to real humans (plus some automated help). Depending on what we find, content gets removed and repeat offenders lose their accounts. We'd rather keep the community great than keep a troll.

Venue owners are part of the community too

Owners: keep your listings and specials accurate, respond to feedback about your venue, and treat user content on your pages with respect. Users: be fair to venues. Honest reviews are great, but grudge-posting isn't.
